Anika Nawar is a Barrister and a Research Associate at Dr. Kamal Hossain and Associates, having joined the firm in 2022.
Anika’s main areas of practice are Corporate and Commercial, Customs, VAT, Arbitration, Property Law, Employment, and Banking.
Anika has undertaken legal research and assisted in drafting legal opinions, reports, and pleadings and submissions in litigation. She has been involved in litigation and consultations across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including monetary claims, value-added tax (VAT), customs, property law, and constitutional challenges. Anika served as a Researcher with the Constitution Reform Commission during the tenure of the Interim Government, contributing to constitutional review and policy development in 2024-2025. She also worked as a Research Assistant to Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan in the preparation of the book, “Revolutionary Constitutionalism” published by The University Press Ltd., Dhaka, 2025.
Anika holds an LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of London (International Programmes) (2019), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Northumbria University, United Kingdom (2021). She was called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn (2022).
Anika is a member of the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
