Reduanul Karim is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, a Barrister and a Senior Associate at Dr. Kamal Hossain and Associates, having joined the Firm in 2014.

Reduan’s key practice areas include admiralty and shipping, arbitration, banking and foreign exchange, capital markets, commercial and corporate, competition, employment and labour, energy and petroleum, fintech, insurance, and telecommunications law.

Reduan has acted as counsel in international commercial arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Rules, ICC Rules, Arbitration Act 2001 of Bangladesh, and the KLRCA (Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration) Rules. He has acted as counsel in negotiating disputes in Bangladesh and abroad in various sectors including aviation, insurance, admiralty and shipping.

Reduan has acted as counsel in large-scale cross-border mergers, acquisition and divestment matters in the telecommunications, pharmaceutical, home appliances, and service sectors. He has assisted in the listing of companies in stock-exchanges in Bangladesh and Hong Kong. He has acted as counsel in various reported and unreported cases.

Reduan holds an LL.B. (Hons) degree from the University of West London, UK (2012). He completed the Bar Professional Training Course from the University of Law, London, UK (formerly College of Law, London) (2013). He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London, United Kingdom (2013). He was enrolled as an Advocate by the Bangladesh Bar Council (2016) and permitted to practise before the High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh (2019).

Reduan is a member of the Chittagong Bar Association, Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association, and the Hon’ble Society of Gray’s Inn, London, United Kingdom.
